Many people coming to the United Arab Emirates to visit Dubai and one place not to miss is The Dubai Museum, situated inside the Al-Fahidi Fort, a place built in the 1790s, made from shell and coral and the city's oldest building. Visitors will find all sorts within the museum from curved Arab daggers to Arabian sailing boats to artefacts from African and Asian countries, with all the exhibits being displayed alongside Arabic and English writing. When the museum first opened its doors, by the Dubai ruler in 1971, its main inspiration was to build a record of the United Arab Emirates customary life, of which there is hardly any left at all…
