Edinburgh Festival and Fringe is, according to the Guinness Book of records, the largest art festival in the world and a chance to overdose of theatre, performance art, live music and comedy. The range of performances is mind boggling from lush presentations of avant-garde and classic drama to the bluest comedy you could imagine (if you cope with the accent). The whole City appears to be involved with something happening in even the smallest of venues and most unlikely bars. It’s a real eye opener and as an intensive introduction to the world of art and music it remains unsurpassed.
