Built in the 1930’s the 726ft Art Deco curve is considered the best non-gambling attraction in Nevada. Hoover Dam is situated just 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas and has welcomed over 1 million visitors since it started to conduct tours in 1937. You can stand in two time zones at the same time and peer over the edge and visit the visitor’s centre, which was opened in 1995 and actually cost more than the original construction of the Dam itself.
