The highlight of a visit to Graceland is Elvis’ former home, a colonial style building decorated in textbook seventies kitsch with a fake waterfall, green shag pile carpet ceilings, 15 foot couch and other bizarre trappings. After the mansion you get to pay a visit to the Meditation Garden where Elvis is buried along with his mother, father, grandmother and his twin brother who died at birth. Other highlights are the Trophy Room, which is housed in the former racquetball court. Here along with various costumes and jewellery items is an unbelievable collection of his gold discs, there are literally hundreds many presented posthumously.
