The 50acre H.P.L. Botanical Garden gives you a taste of what Florida was once like – huge oaks, twisting pathways and lush natural vegetation. There is a magnificent rose garden with over 1,500 plants, a palm garden with an extensive collection of palms and bamboo, species of Camellia from all over the world, a tropical conservatory containing orchids, bromeliads and palms and a museum located in a 19th century house.
