Going to San Francisco and not riding on a cable car is like having a bath and not getting wet. You simply cannot visit San Fran and not experience a journey on the historic street cars that are as synonymous to San Francisco as the Golden Gate Bridge. If you are brave enough to hang off one of the outside rails be sure to keep your eyes peeled for any hazards, you don’t want your first cable car ride to end with a missing limb! A bonus to this must see, must do attraction is it will cost you a mere 70 p for a ride or you can get a 3-7 passport allowing for unlimited public transportation use.
