Rising up to 4,500 meters, The Paramo consists of wet and cold surroundings with the variation of temperature, humidity, sunlight, wind and rainfall producing an erratic climate, so visitors need to prepared by bringing various changes of clothing! People coming to the area in autumn will find the Paramo abound with flora such as the Lupinus with it’s blue and white flowers and the red, green and yellow colours of the Indian Paintbrush. The wildlife in the area is just as colourful with Royal Eagles and Andean Condors, hummingbirds, rabbits and shrews throughout.
