1949 Hostel is an historical house built over 50 years ago.It is in the centre of Punta del Este, 50 meters of the beach / sea. It was originally opened near Jacobo and from 1949 he took care of all weary travelers until 1998 when it's doors were closed. In 2004 we decided to continue the traditional of the first owner, Jacobo and reopen as a hostel. While it maintains it's old charm it as well has the up to date comforts that travelers require while pa ing through. For your comfort we have a tranquil ambience and chill out vicinitys with T.V, DVD, games and books. We are situated on the corner and have a cool bar with views to the sea and the beach / sea. Our doors are open to all to share in the history and warmth of this house and this town
