The Adventure BackPacker Lodge in Vava'u gives you just that. The welcoming staff here can arrange for you to see parts of Tongan culture not normally visited near tourists. We can as well arrange bike riding trips around the island, visits to secluded beach / seaes, whale-watching, fishing, snorkelling and diving trips, plus you get to do what you want, not what some guide tells you. We have 9 bed rooms, 6 bathrooms, a clean and well-equipped kitchen for visitors' use and relaxing seating vicinitys, both indoors and outside. All this is in an absolutely central position looking over the harbour and the fruit marketplace. Our hostel has a striking harbourside position in the northern island of Vava'u, Tonga, South Pacific.
