You must call or e-mail us 3 days before arriving to get an entry code for the visitorhouse, otherwise, you can not get in. PLEASE NOTE: Metro/Subway station is 3 1/2 miles away, this position is best with a car. The visitorhouse is 9 1/2 miles from the Smithsonian Museums, White House, in Washington, DC, 3 miles from Old town, Alexandria and 5 miles from Mount Vernon/George Washington's Home. Very safe, very clean, quiet home surroundings. Free local Calls(bring calling card for long distance Calls). Free parking, Free web access, Free self-service continental breakfast. Families Welcome. We offer personal dorm and personal single Rooms. No Smoking, No Drinking and no Pets facility. VERY WELL behaved children are welcome. DEPOSIT: We require 50% deposit on bookings for more than 7 nights or/and more than 2 rooms for any lenght of stay. CANCELLATION POLICY: We require 3 days cancellation notice (or get charged for a one night stay). We require 5 days Cancellation Notice if during a holiday or reserving more than one room, or reserving more than 5 nights, otherwise, you get charged for the 2 nights. PAYMENT METHOD: Cash, mastercard, visa, travellers checks. We do not accept reserations with a Debit Card. CHECK IN: Anytime after 10 AM to drop off luggage however room may not be ready until 3:00 PM. Must have an entry code prior to arriving, otherwise you can not get in. No front desk service. CHECK OUT TIME: 10:30a.m. or pay for additional night. CLEANING: From 10 A.M. to 3 P.M., ok to drop off bags. ARRIVAL POLICY: Call to get entry code prior to arriving. Wash/Dry/Fold laundry service $7 per load
