Arden Street House was built in the 1930's near a Scottish sea captain and the house reflects his influence with striking stained gla windows depicting sea themes. Your host Joyce Lepperd, her family and cat enjoy travelers' stories in the quiet relaxing and quirky home. For those who enjoy meeting the local Dunedin arty and interesting population, Joyce hosts lively social supers using fabulous organic produce from her grounds. There is as well a piano for visitor use. visitors describe our home as having a warmth far beyond temperature! The house has large character roomy bed rooms with fabulous views and is well suited to those wishing for the quiet experience, which includes waking each morning to the sound of birdsong. Arden Street House is situated just 3 few minutes walk from the striking Botanical groundss, Knox College and 20 few minutes walk from the town center, University of Otago and Community Hospice. Our backpackers Hostel (not in pictures shown) is positioned behind the Bed and Breakfast and is little-only 4 rooms for backpackers. visitors are welcome to stay fo up to 1 month. It is an old turn of the century bungalow fairly basic but very clean and equipped with little kitchen and lounge and 2 bathrooms(shared)
