Backpackers Downtown Lodge is situated in the middle of central Queenstown; a stone's throw away from Lake Wakatipu and few minutes away from Queenstown’s adrenaline things to do. The lodge was originally a hotel until 1991 when we changed it into an fantastic backpacker center. You will enjoy our relaxing, clean premises and as well meeting our knowledgeable local staff who can advise you on trips, adventures, hot spots and local culture. Backpackers Downtown Lodge has 27 large bed rooms and 3 bathrooms. We have a choice of doubles, twins, and en suite dorm rooms accommodating up to 6 people. Our doubles and twins are fitted in a cla ic kiwi retro style. The fully equipped kitchen and unwinded dining and living vicinity give you all the comforts of home, while the central position lets you experience New Zealand, Queenstown style.
