Ballaghmore Country House is a luxurious country house planned with meticulous care. It combines old style with comfort and up to date amenities. All rooms are en-suite with Television, tea/coffee making amenities and teletelephone. Our rooms are decorated to a high standard with comfort and style to give a ‘Country House’ ambiance. Our food is home produced and we provide a full a la carte menu for our visitors. We as well have a wine licence. Ballaghmore House boasts its own natural fresh water lake which is fully stocked with carp, tench, pike, perch, roach and rudd. There is as well game fishing on the Nore or Shannon. For the golfing enthusiasts there are over seven 18 hole golf courses within a 40 minute drive - the nearbyest being Roscrea Golf Club which is only 1 mile away. Hill walkers and cyclists will enjoy the Slieve Bloom Mountains and surroundingsal Park. There are organised walks, guided or unguided – and you can choose from many tracks. Why not participate in trail riding through the Slieve Boom Mountains or simply enjoy a bit of attractionseeing and explore the monastic and historical midlands. There are many places to visit which includes Ballaghmore, Roscrea, Birr and Leap Castles. Guided tours are offered through the castles that dot the countryside a ociated with 600 years of powerful families. Visit some of Ireland’s magnificent groundss which includes Birr Castle and groundss, Gash groundss, Emo Court, Heywood and Francort groundss to name but a few.
