The only hostel situated in Sighisoara's medieval citadel, the Burg Hostel is the newest, most inexpensive and best situated hostel in town. With 60 beds in 19 rooms, we can accommodate everyone from low budget single travelers to larger groups. Most rooms are dorm style with shared bath but we as well have rooms with personal bath offered. We are the place for the cheapest food and drinks in town. Our kitchen serves inexpensive Romanian food and our bar, ‘the Culture Pub’ is popular with tourists and locals alike. The position in the medieval citadel makes our hostel truly individual. Designated a World Heritage Site near UNESCO, Sighisoara has been dubbed the ‘Jewel of Transylvania’. During your stay you can enjoy, among other things, historical walking tours of the best preserved medieval citadel in Europe, visits to the many walled churches in the nearbynear Saxon villages or you can discover the old growth oak forests a few few minutes from town. As you'll see, Sighisoara is much more than just the birthplace of Dracula.
