Accommodation Description: This busy international hostel is just few minutes from the railway station and 15 few minutes walk from the town center. The Victorian townhouse makes a great base for an English town break where you can unwind near the river and visit colleges, museums and art galleries galore. We offer 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 bedded rooms. Meals offered include breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal. Evening meals are served from 6pm-7.30pm. YHA Cambridge is part of the Youth Hostel A ociation and membership of this organisation or the International Youth Hostel Federation is required. It can be purchased on arrival or non-members pay a supplement of £ 3.00 per person per night. Accommodation Description: Lynwood House visitor house is situated just a short ten minute walk from Cambridge's Historic town center, and University Colleges. Under new ownership, Nick and Julie offer their visitors a very warm welcome. In our first year we have transformed the visitors bed rooms, two of which have had new en-suite toilet / wc's hand basin and high pre ure showers fitted. We now offer very relaxing accommodation in our visitorhouse. Lynwood visitor house is perfectly located two minute's walk from the river Cam and Midsummer House restaurant next to the Fort St George Pub with it's beer grounds over-looking the river and Midsummer Common. This is a superb way to walk into Cambridge and catch a chauffeured punt along the famous backs of the colleges, with outstanding views of Kings college and it's chapel. If you get off the punt at the mill pond, you are only a five minute walk from Peterhouse college, the first college to be founded in Cambridge, with over seven hundred years of history. Fitzwilliam Museum with it's fine art collection is just next door, near now you will probably be thinking of lunch, opposite the Museum is Lock Fine restaurant specialising in fish, this is definitely one restaurant to visit if you're a fish lover. Cambridge is an fantastic base from which you can discover the local vicinity, with Ely Cathedral and the Oliver Cromwell Visitors center just fifteen mile.. more >>
