The CATHAY HOTEL is centrally situated nearby the middle of Fiji’s second largest town, Lautoka. The range of accommodation offered has made it popular with both local business people and international travelers on their way to/from the outer islands. Recommended in the Fiji Islands Handbook (David Stanley, Moon Publications, 2001), and in the Lonely Planet Fiji guide (Ronearn Jones and Leonardo Pinheiro, Lonely Planet Publications, 2000) as a good place for meeting other budget travelers. Our single and double rooms have ceiling fans or airconditioning, all with personal bathrooms. Some rooms as well have fridges. Our dorms have ceiling fans or airconditioning, and en suite bathrooms. Cathay has a Dining Room serving reasonably priced home-style meals, and there are many cafes and restaurants within walking distance. There are many things to do offered in and around Nadi/Lautoka, which include: --Abaca eco-tourism trek—highland villages, waterfalls, native rainforests etc. --Island cruises/day trips to striking Mamanuca and Yasawa islands. --Snorkelling and Scuba Diving. Our reception desk is open 24 hours for your convenience. CHECK-IN TIME: Is 3 pm on day of arrival. Earlier check in of 12 noon may be po ible if there is availability. If you are arriving on an early morning flight and would like to check is as soon as you arrive, you will need to book from the night before.
