Our rooms are all en suite, simply furnished and equipped with tea/coffee making amenities and Television on request. All linen, towels, blankets etc supplied - child's bed offered on request. Our visitors have full use of the Livingroom Which Includes sky Television, piano and open turf fire. We as well have a front grounds and visitors are free to roam the parklands and around the house or further afield to the forest and boglands.There is abundant free safe car parking. Home cooked light meals and snacks are offered. Our position in the middle of the country close to the main routes north, south and west makes us the perfect starting point for the rest of your trip to any part of Ireland. We are located in the middle of the historic Bog of Allen. You can tour the bog on the individual bog rail.The historic monastic site of Clonmacnoise, one of the most important religious sites in Ireland is situated nearbynear on the banks of the river Shannon. You can visit Birr's historic Castle and Demesne with its newly restored telescope which was once the largest in the world, it as well boasts world famous formal groundss. If an activity holiday is more your style then there is plenty to do in the vicinity. We can arrange package holidays for horse riding, fishing, hunting and golf. There are 2 fine equestrian centers nearbynear, the Grand Canal and local rivers are good fishing vicinitys and there are 5 golf courses within 10 miles. For a more unwinded break the walkways of the Grand Canal and the striking Slieve Bloom mountains are in the immediate vicinity. Or, if you prefer to just sit back and forget it all, we can guarantee plenty of peace and quiet.
