Accommodation Description: This old-style hotel occupies the central Palazzo Raff lli. The building is situated in the historic center of Gubbio, a few steps away from Piazza della Signora and all the main highlights. The breakfast room is delightful, a little room with frescoed ceilings. The hotel has 30 rooms, all of them en suite, with mini bar. Standard rooms vary in size and are comfortably though soberly decorated with heavy wooden furniture. The restaurants Taverna del Lupo and Bosone grounds are situated a walking distance from the hotel. Gubbio is the most thoroughly medieval of the Umbrian towns, an immediately likeable place that's hung onto its charm despite an ever-increasing influx of tourists. The streets are picture-book pretty, with houses of rosy-pink stone and seas of orange-tiled roofs. The setting is equally gorgeous with the forest-clad mountains of the Apennines rearing up behind.
