Guilin (formerly known as Kweilin) has been attracting and astonishing visitors for many centuries. It has as well been the inspiration for cla ical Chinese landscapes of amazing shape and form of peaks where studded with pines and little pavilions, partly shrouded in mist. Geologically the peaks are pure limestone that has been eroded into strange formations over millions of years (called Karst landscape). Here in Guilin these peaks are everywhere you turn, dominating the skyline, parading along the river Lijaing and suddenly appearing at a downtown intersection. There are too many natural wonders in this town and time will never be enough time to see them all. Guilin Flowers Youth Hostel, the new member of Hostelling International in downtown Guilin, is situated at the opposite side of Guilin Rail Station (100m, exit the rail station and walk directly acro the road where you will see the hostel in front of you.), and is only 500 meters away from the Guilin Bus Station. The hostel is at a strategic position exceptionally handy for travelers. Within walking distance, hostellers can take bus to every place of attraction in the vicinity, such as Yangshuo and Longshen. The hostel is cosy, well-decorated and offers clean, safe, relaxing budget accommodation. Every room has air-conditioning, Television and hot water supply.
