situated in the centre of the town, HI-Chicago is a new 500 bed hostel providing visitors safe, clean, quality accommodations nearby main highlights and public transportation. visitors stay in roomy rooms with 6 or more beds, most with an in-suite bath and shower, and enjoy the hostel's in-house restaurants, web access room, self-service kitchen, student centre, and common vicinitys. The hostel is within walking distance of the Sears Tower, Navy Pier, Lake Michigan, the Art Institute, most main museums, and Michigan Avenue. Staff and volunteers lead hostellers in town tours and outings to blues and jazz clubs, main festivals, and other popular local things to do. Hostelling International is a non-profit membership based organization, promoting peace through hostelling since 1909.
