Hacienda Lodge Guachipelin is situated at the foot of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, nearby the town of Curubande in the province of Guanacaste. The Hacienda borders the popular Rincón de la Vieja National Park. Since 1985, Hacienda Guachipelin has as well been hosting a steady flow of visitors, helping them enjoy the natural splendour of the ranch and the neighbouring national park. Natural hot springs, virgin forests, jungle waterfalls and volcanic mud pots are just some of the many highlights tourists can enjoy during a stay at the Hacienda. Together with its strong involvement in ecotourism, Hacienda Guachipelin continues its traditional work of raising cattle and horses. **visitor Comments** Dear Rolando 'Just a little note to tell that Brad and I had a great time in Costa Rica. We discoverd a large part of the northwest vicinity and visited 5 parks. We went to the Hacienda Lodge Guachipelin and then went on the zip lines along the canyon of the Rio Blanco. We went on horse back to the Rincon de la Vieja and hiked through the jungle past the waterfalls, mud pits and fumeroles etc. Went for a swim in the river at the base of a waterfall.Went to Palo Verde that was hot and humid! We hiked in Santa Rosa and discoverd the Fort. We took a tour bus to Arenal due to the distance and although we did not see the volcano we had a great time in the hotpool and spa at Tabacon. We went to many beach / seaes and did a lot of snorkeling. On the last day we met our friend who lives in Alajuela and went to Poas, it was cloudy but still very pleasant. The best part of the trip was the welcoming people that we met all over. I want to thank you for the greeting you gave us, what a great introduction to your country'.
