You can take a 25 minute ferry ride to the middle of the Puget Sound and visit Vashon Island, located between Tacoma and Seattle on a striking rural island. The hostel's hand-hewn log cabin was made from the Douglas firs that grew on the 10-acre estate. There are nine Indian Sioux teepees for families or couples, antique covered wagons for singles, dorms or B&B quality rooms for the le adventurous.
