Highbr visitorhouse was built on Dunedin's High Street Cable Car route in 1908. Its architecture is usual of the era and features many art nouveau characteristics. Today this impre ive home, which offers stunning views of the town and harbour, provides first cla bed and breakfast accommodation to its visitors. The three upstairs visitor rooms are carefully restored to preserve their character for visitors who delight in the many original features. visitors share the luxurious, large, up to dateised Italian bathroom upstairs. A second bathroom and toilet / wc are downstairs. We have a dedicated visitor lounge with open fire, and all day tea and coffee amenities, which offers a relaxing space for unwindation, conversation or tv viewing. A light Kiwi breakfast is included in the room rate, consisting of cereals, toast, honey, jams, fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, coffee and tea. A cooked breakfast can be offered as an extra on request. Hosts Stephen & Fienie Clark are happy to offer recommendations for local restaurants and cafés serving lunch and super in Dunedin town, a short 10 minute walk from Highbr . Or catch a bus at the front gate to see the wildlife or the attractions of the town.
