Set just off Brunswick St, in vibrant Fitzroy, 'Home' was established in 1999 as a home away from home for travelers of all nations. With a sharehouse vibe, home attracts mostly medium term stays (2 - 6 months) with a preferred minimum reservation of 2 weeks (we will do a nightly rate if you want to check it out first!). We have free music, video, DVD and book libraries, along with free bike rent, free wirele DSL web access acce , free tea & coffee amenities and smokers are welcomed. Home has 2 kitchens for self catering, and is curhirely undergoing renovations to secure it as Fitzroy's ONLY Eco-hostel, using Green Power and a new rain water and grey water system for the bathrooms we provide. There are as well in-house laundry amenities for your convenience. The house is lively, with residents and owners alike getting involved with the local club and live music scenes. Existing networks will help you establish employment quickly and a true family surroundings exists about the house, binding the residents to their Australian home, long after they've left our shores.
