This characteristic house of the 14th century, partly made of rock, is placed in the middle of the Ostuni's historical center, more precisely in “La Terra” district which located over the wall, nearby Porta Nova. The house is provided with an efficient kitchenette, a dining room and a sort of platform housing 1 double bed + a single bed and all up to date comforts to enjoy your holidays (Television,dvd drive, hi-fi stereo, Refrigerator, linen + towels). The historical origins of Ostuni date back to the Me api who founded the town over one of the highest hills in order to rescue it from enemy attacks. Walking through the little streets of the peculiarly tangled historical center, you are captured near the perfume and colours of the flowers decorating the walls and the window sills of the usual houses. Thanks to its strategic and central position connecting to the most important places of the region, it is easy to reach Alberobello and the “trulli”, individual in the world which have been recognised part of UNESCO heritage; Castellana and the magnificent alabaster grottoes, the most striking in Europe; Cisternino, Martina Franca and other towns of the Mediterranean vicinity where you can spend striking days tasting the usual dishes of the scrumptious local cooking; Brindisi, important international center thanks to the presence of a port call connecting to Greece and eastern Europe countries and as well important arch ological sites of the Roman period; Lecce, known for its churches and buildings in individual,unmistakable, pompous Baroque style.
