Our reputation for middley home cooking and relaxing bed rooms is well justified. So treat yourself to a restful break at our welcoming, welcoming, family-run visitor House where we go that bit further to ensure a unwinding stay that exceeds expectations. We have endeavoured to create an ambience of restful comfort with up to date amenities. Fresh flowers, combine with hand painted pictures to produce a ‘home from home’ and make it the ideal place to both discover Keswick and unwind and unwind after the day’s things to do. Most rooms face west and enjoy a sunny outlook from Midday to late evening and if it’s peace and quiet you are looking for, Leonard’s Field enjoys the benefit of being situated in one of the quieter streets, whilst still being a short stroll from the hustle and bustle of central Keswick. Double en-suite, twin and family rooms are offered. All rooms are centrally heated and decorated to a high standard with colour Television and tea/coffee making amenities. All visitor bed rooms are serviced daily, when tea and coffee is topped up and fresh towels are provided. An iron and board are offered if required and if it rains we can dry your waterproofs and boots in our drying room ready for your next days adventure! Keswick-on Derwentwater is the capital of Northern Lakeland. located on one of the prettiest lakes and amongst some of the most dramatic scenery, it has something for everyone. Keswick provides every facility for the visitor; it has two striking leisure parks, sailing, swimming golf, rowing, cycling, canoeing, and motor cruising, wind surfing, tennis, bowls, pony trekking, fishing, paragliding, live theatre and cinema, yet still manages to retain its marketplace charm. It is an fantastic center for climbing and walking , with trails and paths for all abilities. If you prefer a more leisurely break, we can recommend the best drives to take in the most breath-taking views or the perfect spot for that unwinding picnic. -Advice offered on any planned walks. Guide books offered to borrow during your stay. -Flasks filled for free and packed lunches offered for a little extra charge. -Secure lock-up cycle storage and secure off-road vicinity for motorbikes. -Residents’ lounge with tv offered to use during your stay. -If you are planning a special occasion, simply let us know and we can arrange flowers and a bottle of wine to be placed in your room for a little extra charge. -special service to pre-book the best theatre ticket seats or evening meals pre-booked and selected restaurants. -For your comfort, we are strictly non-smoking. A deposit of £20.00 per person is requested when confirming a booking. Sorry we do not cater for little children or pets.
