Accommodation Description: The Sambiya River Lodge, is only 20 few minutes from the top of the falls, and centrally situated in the famous Murchison Falls National Park. It is the ideal position for those who want to experience the individual ambience of Africa. The green nearby leopard country is a mixture of savannah plain and riverine forest that supports a selection of wildlife, untouched near ma tourism. The park offers stupendous views of the dramatic waterfalls of the Nile River, which plunge 45 meters through a narrow 7-metre canyon of boulders. Sambiya River Lodge's individual charm is in the ambience of intimacy provided to the visitors. The twenty thatched cottages include either one or two bed rooms with twin or double beds. Each of the 20 bed rooms has its own personal bathroom amenities as well as a veranda from which visitor can unwind and enjoy the tranquillity of Africa. Service is welcoming and unobtrusive. The staff are proud of their skills and are pleased to be of service. Sambiya River Lodge provides you with a real African adventure. There are basic bandas for the cost concious, these have shared bathroom amenities. Only four have been built to maintain the intimacy of the ambience. Make sure you allow enough time with us to make the most of your safari and experience the wonders of Murchison Falls National Park. Take a cruise on the Nile to the renowned Falls and View the abundance of hippo, crocodile, Cape buffalo, giraffe, elephant and rare species of birds which includes the shoebill stork. Track chimpanzees on foot in the Rabongo and Pabidi Forests or arrange a fishing expedition on the Nile. The open fronted lodge allows a panoramic vista of hills as well as game viewing along the Sambiya River and the adjacent gra covered flood plain. For most of the year the Park is hot near day. A swimming pool offers a break from those hot African afternoons. Evenings are cool.
