Accommodation Description: Ex-travelers Georgie & Peter together with our family and awesome staff welcome you to Tasman Bay Backpackers in Nelson town. Our hostel is purpose built, roomy yet homely. Everyone says it has a pleasant feel to it. In winter we light the log fire every night and all the rooms have heaters. Outside you’ll find a well used outside hammock, swing chair and edible grounds which includes herbs, grapes, kiwifruit, feijoas, lemons, …. Our hostel provides a great place to base yourself whilst exploring the Nelson Tasman region. Everyone that works here has a lot of local knowledge and is happy to share it and book anything for you. All buses and most activity operators will pick up and/or drop off right at our front door. We can ticket buses, water taxis, kayak trips and all things to do. We rent out good quality camping gear and can i ue DoC pa es. In winter time we offer free breakfast which includes freshly baked bread. To really take the chill off winter we as well offer something a bit extra each evening from hot chocolate pudding and ice cream to local beer tasting and games nights. as well offered are bikes for you to use (no charge) to discover the vicinity. Accommodation Description: Bridge Street Backpackers (previously Bumbles) is a former lavishness hotel in central Nelson located only 2 few minutes walk from the inter town bus station. The new owners, Tony and Kath, have extensively upgraded the amenities during the last year. We can offer you a selection of types of accommodation which includes double and twin rooms with personal bathrooms, four-bed dorm rooms with attached bathrooms, four bed dorm rooms with shared bathroom and large dorm room with shared bathroom. We have full cooking amenities, a barbecue vicinity, laundry, email amenities and plenty of seating in our quiet sunny courtyard. Our welcoming and knowledgeable staff are able to advise you on the many things to do offered in sunny Nelson and can make reservations for the amenities as well as onward travel. The striking Tahunanui beach / sea is only 5 few minutes drive or a short ride on one of our free bikes. Regular buses from the bus station acro the road can as well take you to the beach / sea.
