The Youth hostel 'M. Spagnoli' is housed in a inclusively restructured, building of historical importance. In fact the original tower, still intact, was used in medieval times as a 'town gate' for the payment of duties. The hostel is located in the center of a public park, nearby a well equipped sports center, and is well connected with the historical center. Perugia, rich in culture and art, is host to the International 'Umbria Jazz' festival, Eurochocolate and the Sagra Musicale Umbra. It is as well the center of two Universities and educational institutions like the Academy of 'Belle Arti', the Conservatory of Music and the School of Journalism.
