Accommodation Description: The Siam View Hotel at Arugam Bay is a little resort directly on the white sandy beach / seafront of famous Arugam-Bay. We are close to Surf Point, a place known to keen surfers throughout the world for years. The hotel is a ideal place for young couples, young families, stre ed executives as well as all watersport enthusiasts. It is run near a cooperative of five friends from individual continents. The Siam View has a distinct Thai character with its unwinded culture. It is very popular with female travelers and couples due its secure and secluded grounds set in this mainly Muslim part of Sri Lanka. The hotel is little and we offer various categories of rooms. There are 5 rooms in the old wing, build about 15 years. Now these category 1 rooms will suit budget travelers only. In category 2 we have two traditional beach / sea cabanas with attached bathrooms. Category 3 is a large, new building with 4 rooms looking over the entire bay. Built on stilts, it suits large families or a group of surfers. As our category 4 we offer our south wing building with 5 brand new rooms, hot showers, Australian waterbeds and teletelephone sockets. There are two lavishness apartments, our 5-star rooms and our ‘Royal Suite' high up among the coconut trees. All our rooms have personal bathrooms and a fan. Some rooms as well have air conditioning, Television, video and a LAN connection. There is a Thai-style restaurant, a bar, a games and snooker room, daily videos and music as well as a weekend beach / sea trance party in our tropical grounds. There are other restaurants nearbynear providing local food in more basic settings. In the hotel grounds there are as well two table tennis positions and a volleyball court. Latest 2005: We have added an antique fishing trawler to our choice of rooms. Dry & on the beach / sea front, converted into a houseboat it makes a ideal romantic home on a tropical island. Our free!
