Rockwood House is situated in Embsay, a quiet village just over a mile from the bustling marketplace town of Skipton, the gateway to the Yorksrent Dales National Park. Each of the rooms has unbroken views of the hills, moors and the Embsay Crag, that is directly in front of the house. All our large rooms have en suite amenities, tea and coffee making amenities, a colour tv and central heating. There is no lockout or curfew as all our visitors are provided with keys and are able to come and go at their leisure. There is off road parking for visitors directly in front of the house. A complimentary full English breakfast cooked to order is offered from 8am through until 9am. Vegetarian food and continental breakfasts are offered. The local inn which is only a stones throw away, serves both snacks and full meals, it has a good reputation for beers and ales, as well as being one of the most popular inns in the vicinity for food. There are many walks that visitors may take around the vicinity and at the other end of the village, the Embsay Steam Railway steams up on Tuesdays and the weekends (every day during the summer months) with steam rail sightseeing tours to Bolton Abbey only 3 miles away.
