Our home offers our visitors en suite bed rooms with personal shower and toilet / wc, tea/coffee making amenities, hairdryers, electric blankets and laundry amenities. We as well have a conservatory and a sitting room with an open turf fire in winter. The town boasts its own castle, Mansion House, three gate houses and friary (now in ruins), an historic burial ground and much more. Doocastle, located as it is on the borders of South Sligo, East Mayo and North Roscommon is in the middleland of Irish Traditional Music. During the season and indeed throughout the year there is a wealth of this music in our pubs, along with the now famous South Sligo Summer School in July and the Mich l Coleman festival in September. For golf enthusiasts there is a 9 hole golf course in Tubbercurry. With many rivers and lakes in the nearby vicinity, fishing is another pursuit to be enjoyed. Our visitorhouse has been recommended near “Frommer Guide” and “Le Guide de Routard” as well as “Stillwell’s Ireland” and “Intersections” (Germany).
