Shanghai Dongshi Hotel is a 2-star hotel, newly opened in the town center, 300 meters east of the Bund. All the main highlights are within walking distance. It is a short 5 minute walk to the famous shopping bliss in Shanghai - Nanjing Walking Shopping Mall. To the west is Renmen Square; and Yu grounds is a 10 minute walk to the south. ----------Customer Comments--- * Aug 27 '04 Very good choice for staying in Shanghai for a couple of nights. Good position, low prices, everything you need. To compare with five-stars hotel, where I was before (not my choice), the only difference are the prices. Thank you very much. Although it doesn't provide as great a view like the five-star hotels in Pudong, such as the Hyatt or Shangri-la, it definitely provides the basic needs to all visitors. The room is clean and equipped with bathroom facilities, a water flask, slippers, daily housekeeping service, and 24-hour security. -------------------------- --- All main transportation hubs are as well nearbynear such as the subway station (10 few minutes walking away), Shanghai rail station which is a 20 minute drive away and Shanghai Pudong International which is a 50 minute drive away. Incidentally, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport is half an hour away. Our rooms are well equipped with cable Television, teletelephone, dial-up web access acce , coffee/tea makers, hairdryers (upon request), table lamps and toilet / wcries. Our hotel as well has a cafe grocery store, expre mail service and morning call service. Please note: If you must check-in late (after 8pm) please e-mail your flight number to our office when you make your booking so that we can guarantee your room for you.
