Snowdon Lodge (formerly known as Snowdon Backpackers) is a Grade 2 listed building in which Lawrence of Arabia was born. With a Wales Tourist Board 4 star grading, it is the ultimate in hostel comfort, security and position. Whilst retaining most of the original features, Snowdon Lodge has newly been extensively renewed to provide clean, relaxing and secure accommodation. Snowdon Lodge is located close to both the magnificent mountains of Snowdonia and the striking sandy beach / seaes and coves of the Llyn Peninsula. The hostel is situated in its own grounds adjoining woodlands and fields, yet only 2 mins walk to the pubs and shops of Tremadog & Porthmadog. Snowdon Lodge welcomes the traveller who wants to just chill out in comfort for a few days and those who want to participate in the widest choice of things to do offered. Whether it is trekking up Mount Snowdon, climbing on the nearbynear Tremadog Rocks, exploring the rocky coves of Borth-Y-Gest, or lazing on the beach / sea at Black Rock Sands, everything is close, whether you are walking, driving or using public transport. nearbynear is the famous Portmeirion Italianate village, the castles of Harlech and Criccieth, and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland narrow gauge railways. Our staff will be pleased to help you plan your stay or to put you in touch with guides to take you walking, climbing, canoeing or gorge walking, or direct you to centers providing white water rafting and canoeing, bike rent, dry slope skiing, horse riding or golfing. At little extra cost we will be please to provide you with cooked breakfasts, packed lunches and evenening meals. We as well have a Licensed Bar, Dining Room, Television lounge with log fires, web access acce , Drying room, Laundry amenities, mountin bike rent, fully equipped kitchen, + Loads of info on things to do!
