Proud Member of FAMOUS SOUTH AFRICAN HOSTELS - The Farm Backpoackers is located in the famous CAPE WINELANDS region. Our hostel is situated on the banks of the Breede river on a working fruit farm, with gorgeous mountain, fruit orchard and river views. Buildings previously used as farm labourer housing have been converted into relaxing accommodation, where the rooms are roomy and the shower water is constantly hot. things to do range from wine tours, abseiling, mountain biking, game viewing, fishing, kloofing, 4x4 trails and river tubing in the summer to snow boarding and snow skiing in the winter. There is as well fantastic hilking and walking from our doorstep. Our lounge features a huge fireplace for all those cosy couples looking for a bit of romance. Daily traditional 'Farm Style' meals are prepared and served around the camp fire on request. Enquire about our work exchange programme for discounted rates. If you are looking for a truly South African experience & are not afraid to get off the beaten track, this is the place for you. We offer a free pick up service from Wolseley rail station or Ceres taxi rank.
