The family run Pendeli Hotel, set in the striking mountain resort of Platres amidst a forest of fragrant pines, offers 81 visitorrooms which includes three suites and seven junior suites. All visitor rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and equipped with central heating (winter months), ceiling fan, fitted carpet, a three-piece bathroom, colour tv, direct dial teletelephone, hair dryer, clock radio and personal terrace, most looking over the valley and the nearby countryside. The Pendeli's public vicinitys are the Nightingales café, the Laurels Dining Room and Veranda, the Robin's Nest bar (with fireplace for the winter months) and The Cedar Rooms. Other amenities include: a heated open-air swimming pool (open from May until the end of October) with pool bar and groundss, a fitne room, Jacuzzi, sauna, a little library, a gift shop, a games room and a toddler play vicinity. From the Pendeli, one may pursue a selection of things to do which includes natural world walks, mountain biking, birdwatching and photography. During the months of January/February & March skiing at the nearbynear Troodos center is usually po ible. natural world walks include, amongst others, the Caledonian Waterfalls trail, the Millomeris Waterfall trail and the Pouziaris trail. From Platres one may visit the traditional villages of Omodhos, Pera Pedhi, Phini & Lofou and the famous monastery of Cyprus Kykko with its nearzantine museum.
