It is a really cool place and has the best position ever. If you turn right, you are arriving to some temples, shrines and the handcraft shop. If you turn left, you are pa ing lots of shops and arriving soon in town centre. Everything is within walking distance. Almost kyoto visitorhouse is at nearby JR kyoto station where is nothing for attractionseeing and shoping. I will recommend this place and come back when I will be in Japan again one day. We are situated in east Kyoto where 10 few minutes bus from Kyoto station. There are many places to visit, for example Kiyomizu-temple. You can go to Gion, Kiyamachi and Pondocho , the bar vicinitys of Kyoto, on foot. If you want to spend a long time at Kyoto during the day or night, this visitor house is very handy. A personal room can be reserved for two people. We as well have dorm rooms.
