If you love the Lake District but not its summer crowds, try YHA Arnside. This mellow Edwardian-Tudor house is positioned above the waters of Morecambe Bay and boasts great views of the Lake District mountains. It’s a good touring base both for the Lakes and the western Yorksrent Dales and you’ll find a selection of walks in the vicinity. Birdwatchers will enjoy the RSPB reserve nearbynear and wildlife lovers shouldn’t mi Arnside Knott, famous for its butterflies. The walk are subject to cancellation due to adverse weather/tidal conditions beyond our control. Meals offered include breakfast, picnic lunch and evening meal. Evening meal offered at 1900hrs. amenities self-catering kitchen, drying room/laundry, lounge (with T.V.), sitting room, games room, showers, cycle store, map room and grounds. The hostel is as well wheelchair welcoming with fully en-suite bed rooms on the ground floor. YHA Arnside is part of the Youth Hostel A ociation and membership of this organisation or the International Youth Hostel Federation will give a discount on the overnight price.
