Built circa 1760 as a hotel to provide accommodation for patrons wishing to partake of the spring waters, Pannanich Wells is located in a rural position on Pannanich Hill just over a mile from Ballater, looking over the Dee valley. Externally Pannanich is a plain granite house freshened over the centuries. Internally Pannanich changes into a relaxing well-appointed hotel plus 2 self-catering cottages on site and one larger cottage off site in the center of Ballater. The hotel and cottages are totally non-smoking. All hotel rooms are en-suite with shower or bath and shower, and have all the usual room accessories. The little cottages are equipped to a high standard, with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms and stunning views across the striking Dee Valley. The larger cottage is of a high-to-luxurious standard, featuring a water bed, en-suite bathrooms with jacuzzi baths and showers, and a first floor lounge with great views from a heated balcony. A 25 deposit, ( non- refundable) will be taken from your card on receipt of the reservation. One twin room / kingsize double is offered on the ground floor. Rooms 4, and 5 can either be twin or K/S doubles please let us know how you wish the room to be set. There are many tourist and sporting things to do close near including golf, skiing, fishing and stalking. Royal Deeside is particularly famous for its hunting and fishing, with visitors from around the world visiting our region. Glenshee and the Lecht, two of the five Scottish ski resorts, are both approximately 30 miles from the hotel, with the necessary instruction and ski equipment offered for hire.
