The hotel's architecture has a historical French influence softened with peach-painted walls and white-and-green trim. La Pomme Cannelle restaurant provides Creole and international cuisine with European flavorings. The main swimming pool is situated near the bar and restaurant; it is perfect for a refreshing dip or a poolside drink. The rooftop swimming pool has a uniform four-foot depth, perfect for children, a game of volleyball, or doing laps. The shady rooftop gazebo bar serves tropical drinks and snacks from 7am until 10pm and is a superb spot to watch the dramatic sunsets for which the Caribbean is famous. Glencastle is situated on the most northern portion of the Eastern Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. It is approximately 30 few minutes from the George Charles Airport (near the capital of Castries) and an hour and a half from Hewannorra International Airport, which is situated on the most southern tip of the island. It is in close proximity to the quaint fishing village of Gros Islet, home of the famous Friday Night Jump Up. It is as well a short distance from the island's most popular white sandy coastal beaches (to which complimentary beach / sea shuttle service runs twice daily), the islands largest shopping mall, grocery stores, Rodney Bay Marina, nightclubs, and various watersports facilities. Property has numerous on site childrens activities.
