On entering, the visitor is drawn through high-ceilinged rooms with ornate cornices, usual of a Grade II listed Georgian building and into the gracious Walpole Restaurant with its glorious views across grounds down to the Thames. Under the direction of chef Pierre Denoyer, whose exquisite recipes have already been featured in Eden magazine, the Walpole is considered a charming, undiscovered gem near local residents. The hotel comprises 23 individually decorated bedrooms, some with four-posters, most with views of the Thames.
