The Iron Horse Resort is conveniently situated at the base of Winter Park Resort and is 67 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado. The resort is situated near the western entrance to the Moffat Tunnel where the first trains traveled under the Continental Divide in 1926. Before the Tunnel was completed, trains came into Grand County over the mountains on the Moffat Road, a railway route which is now an interesting hilking and walking path not far from the resort. It is the only ski-on/ski-out full service condominium resort and conference centre in Winter Park. Surrounded near majestic pines and nestled in the Arapaho National Forest, it provides a individual sense of seclusion. Built in the tradition of hotel style amenities, the resort combines the apres ski scene of a friendly, cosy lobby with the lavishness and spaciousness of condominium rooms. Couples, families, and groups come to enjoy the lovely surroundings and attentive service all year round. The on-site facilities include restaurant and lounge (open seasonally), outdoor heated pool, four outdoor hot tubs, room service, bell service (seasonal), 24-hour front desk, complimentary local transportation, business center, and conference room.
