Ireland Xtreme has the distinct advantage of knowledge and expertise of instructors with Land Rover expedition experience. Under close instruction, clients completing an off-road course gain a fascinating insight into the capabilities of a modern off-road vehicle. Before the vehicles are taken off-road, drivers undergo a period of training covering various topics including an understanding of how basic 4-wheel drive systems operate. The courses will provide the opportunity to understand the theory of off-road driving, looking at risk assessment and hazards. For those not familiar with off-roading, the Familiarisation Course gives participants the chance to taste what these 4x4 vehicles are actually capable of doing, at the hands of an experienced instructor. This course will guide customers to an acceptable but basic standard in off-road driving techniques. They will discover a challenging course to build on current off-road driving skills (if any), give relevant experience and help to understand the controls and working of the vehicle.
