The 22-acre Treasure Island Resort is private, uninhabited, and about a 45-minute scenic boat ride southeast from the mainland of Vava'u. This striking tropical island is located right in the middle of the famous South Pacific, in Vava'u the splendid island group of the Kingdom of Tonga. The island has striking sandy coastal beaches fringed with swaying palms, pristine clear waters, lush tropical forest, rich bird life, outstanding caves, cliffs, and bizarre rocks formed near the tide and surrounded near a large colorful coral garden. During the humpback whale season (July through November), the whales come very close to the island and patrons can even swim with them.
